OpTic Gaming saw a key shift this week as two Halo stars made a bold move. Adam โ€˜Boundโ€™ Gray and Jonathan โ€˜Renegadeโ€™ Willette said on August 27 that theyโ€™ll seek a new path in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. The move came just days after OpTicโ€™s run at the Salt Lake City Major, where they fell short in the grand final.

At Salt Lake City, OpTic fought hard but took second place. The squad had strong wins to reach the grand final, yet they could not seal the crown. Bound and Renegade were part of the strong run, but the team lost in the end, which left them one step shy of the top spot. Still, the Green Wall held two Major wins this year, in Arlington and Dallas, and their spot for HCS Charlotte is now secure. Both stars will now test their skill in Call of Duty.
