OG Esports has refreshed its roster ahead of the 2025/26 Dota 2 season. Two-time The International winner Johan ‘N0tail�Sundstein will continue his role as the team’s head coach, but now, he has a new roster to lead.

The OG roster only had two players before the news, as Tamir ‘daze�Tokpanov and Mihajlo ‘MikSa`�Jovanovic joined earlier in 2025. They played alongside Indji ‘Shad�Lub, who was initially on loan from Natus Vincere. The other two players are Brazilian support player Rodrigo ‘Lelis�Santos, and Igor ‘Stojkov�Stojkov.

OG’s ambitious roster

Considering Shad, MikSa`, and daze are already familiar with each other after their time together earlier in 2025, they make up the strong foundation for this team. Lelis provides the stability this team needs from the hard support player. The Brazilian is an experienced player who has played in The International before.

Stojkov is the most unknown name of the bunch, as he only started playing Dota 2 esports in 2022. Since then, he has risen in the ranks and proven himself enough to catch N0tail’s attention. The mid-laner from North Macedonia is on a trial basis in the meantime, but if he can prove himself to be a star player, he will be signed on a permanent deal. 

N0tail also has a new assistant coach named Marc ‘HoviteY�Abrusnikow, who has been a top presence in the European Dota 2 scene for a long while. Now, he will assist N0tail in devising tactics for this team.

The new era for OG Dota

Apart from a new roster, OG also strengthened the organisation as N0tail and fellow OG co-founder Sébastien ‘Cebâ€?Debs struck a deal with fan token firm Chiliz. As the owner of Socios.com, Chiliz took a controlling 51% stake in OG, which boosts the team’s funding for their competitive future. 

OG already has an illustrious history, and this new roster has potential. With Chiliz’s support, the organisation could maintain their support for the roster and N0tail’s coaching ahead of a massive 2025/26 Dota 2 esports season.

The Chiliz Group had taken a major step by buying 51% of OG Esports, a top esports team. This deal gives Chiliz control and sets the stage for new growth. OG’s co-founders, Johan ‘N0tail�Sundstein and Sébastien ‘Ceb�Debs, will now focus on building the team’s strength in matches. Meanwhile, Xavier Oswald takes over as the new CEO to lead the organisation forward.

Chiliz runs a sports blockchain platform that enables fans to connect with teams through fan tokens. These tokens give fans perks like voting on team gear and special events. OG was the first esports team to launch fan tokens on Socios.com back in 2020. Since then, OG’s fan token has grown in value and surpassed the $100 million market cap.

This success helped Chiliz improve its fan token technology and made OG a key example of how these can boost fan engagement and create real value.

The BLAST.tv Austin Major is underway, with teams competing for a spot in Stage 3. So far, Legacy and Virtus.pro are the only teams to qualify, both with unbeaten records. Meanwhile, BetBoom and OG Esports, each with three losses, have been eliminated from the tournament.

In a match, the Falcons faced OG. Falcons led 9-3 on Dust II, but OG made a comeback and won 13-11. On Nuke, Falcons edged out OG 13-10. The final map, Mirage, saw the Falcons lead 8-4 at halftime and then win 13-6.

This result keeps Falcons in the fight for a new chance to qualify, but they still need another strong performance to reach Stage 3. Meanwhile, MIBR advanced by beating BetBoom 13-11 on Train and Anubis, eliminating BetBoom from the tournament. Only Legacy and Virtus.pro have secured their spots so far.

In an unexpected turn at the Serbia-based FISSURE Special game, Mosquito Clan’s David ‘Parker�Nicho Flores fell asleep during the match draft. The game, held on Monday, April 7, was against the powerhouse team OG. Mosquito Clan faced a technical defeat.

The pause happened early in the draft phase when the admins gave the match a 10-minute pause. During that time, Parker wasn’t able to respond to his team. Mosquito Clan tried replacing him with another stand-in, Roman ‘RAMZES666�Kushnarev, but the request was denied as Parker is already a substitute.

With no other choice, Mosquito Clan had to forfeit the match, giving OG a 2-0 win by default. The team took to X (formerly Twitter) the story of their defeat, saying the match was scheduled at 5 am Peru time—Parker’s home country. They also apologised to fans and promised to return with a more prepared roster.

Parker’s infamous Dota 2 history

This isn’t the first time Parker has drawn attention in the esports scene. In late 2024, his former team, HEROIC, kicked him due to conflicts over team strategy during ESL Bangkok 2024.
