The Nepal women’s national cricket team will lock horns with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in their opening Group A match of the Women’s Asia Cup 2024 at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium in Dambulla, Sri Lanka.

The Nepal vs UAE Women’s Asia Cup 2024 match will start at 2:00 PM IST on Friday, July 19. The opening Women’s Asia Cup 2024 game will be live streamed and televised on TV in India.

Nepal qualified for the Women’s Asia Cup 2024 after reaching the semi-finals of the ACC Women's Premier Cup 2024 in February. However, Nepal later suffered a four-wicket defeat against Malaysia in the semi-final.

The United Arab Emirates national cricket team will lock horns with Oman in the ACC Men’s T20I Premier Cup 2024 final at the Al Amerat Cricket Ground (Ministry Turf 1) on Sunday, April 21. 

The UAE vs Oman ACC Men’s T20I Premier Cup 2024 final will start at 4:00 PM IST.

Led by captain Muhammad Waseem, UAE beat Nepal by six wickets in the semi-finals to advance to the summit clash.

Opting to bowl, UAE’s Junaid Siddique, Ali Naseer and Basil Hameed bagged two wickets each to help restrict Nepal to 119/9 in their 20 overs.

Later, Alishan Sharafu’s unbeaten 55 off 41 balls helped UAE chase down the target in 17.2 overs.

Earlier, UAE finished second in Group B of the ACC Men’s T20I Premier Cup 2024 with three wins and one loss.

On the other hand, the Oman national cricket team secured a five-wicket win over Hong Kong in their semi-final clash to advance to the final of the ACC Premier Cup 2024.

Oman’s Bilal Khan and Aqib Ilyas picked up three wickets each to help restrict Hong Kong to 130/9 in their 20 overs.

In reply, Aqib Ilyas�?unbeaten 51-ball 62 guided Oman to a comfortable win in 19.2 overs.  

In the group stage, the Zeeshan Maqsood-led Oman topped Group B standings with victories in all four matches. 

The winner of the ACC Men’s T20I Premier Cup will qualify for Asia Cup 2025.

In 2023, Nepal won the inaugural edition of the ACC Men’s Premier Cup after beating United Arab Emirates by seven wickets in the final.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) cricket team will host Afghanistan for two 50-over warm-up matches and three T20 internationals, starting on December 25.

The first UAE vs Afghanistan (ODI) warm-up game is scheduled to be held on December 25 while the second will be played on the 27th. The two warm-up games will be followed by three T20Is, to be played on December 29, 31 and January 2.

All matches of the UAE vs Afghanistan 2023-24 series will be hosted at the iconic Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

The upcoming series will be Afghanistan’s second tour of the UAE in 2023. In February, the visitors, led by Rashid Khan, clinched the three-match T20I series 2-1 in Abu Dhabi.

Last year, Afghanistan and the Emirates Cricket Board signed a mutual agreement to play a series of three T20I matches on an annual basis. The forthcoming series is part of the agreement.

Led by captain Muhammad Waseem, the UAE will head into the series after losing to Nepal by eight wickets in the semi-finals of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier Final.

The Gulf Cricket T20I Championship 2023 will start on September 15 in Doha, Qatar. 

Featuring six teams, a total of 16 T20I matches will be played in the inaugural edition of the Gulf Cricket T20I Championship, organised by the Qatar Cricket Association (QCA).

Hosts Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates will battle for the Gulf Cricket T20I Championship 2023.

As per the schedule, each team will play the other side once in a round-robin format. The top two teams in the standings after all the league matches will advance to the final.

The Gulf Cricket T20I Championship 2023 final is scheduled to be held on Saturday, September 23.

All matches of the Gulf Cricket T20I Championship 2023 will be played at the West End Park International Cricket Stadium in Doha.

The Scotland national cricket team (SCO) will lock horns with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Match 12 of the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifiers 2023 at the Bulawayo Athletic Club in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe on Friday, June 23. The Group B match will start at 12:30 PM Indian Standard Time (IST).

United Arab Emirates (UAE) will take on West Indies in a three-match ODI series, starting on Sunday, June 4.

This ODI series will serve as ideal preparation for both teams ahead of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2023 later this month.

Two-time ODI World Cup champions West Indies are ranked 10th in the ICC ODI rankings, while UAE is ranked 19th.

West Indies will be led by gloveman Shai Hope while top-order batter Brandon King will be their vice-captain.

Nepal will lock horns with the UAE in a three-match ODI series, which is set to commence on November 14, 2022. All three fixtures are scheduled to take place at Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground, Kirtipur in Nepal.

The UAE tour of Nepal 2022 will be the first bilateral series to take place following the conclusion of the T20 World Cup 2022.

The Nepal cricket team is on the back of a successful tour of Kenya, where they whitewashed the hosts in the five-match T20I series followed by three wins in as many ODIs. 

On the other hand, the UAE cricket team played the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 qualifying rounds, where they were unfortunate not to progress to the Super 12s. The Chundangapoyil Rizwan-led side lost the first two games against the Netherlands and Sri Lanka before bagging a consolation win against Namibia. 

Prior to that, UAE played two T20Is against Bangladesh, ending on the losing side in both games.

The last time the UAE cricket team visited Nepal was in 2013 for the ACC T-20 tournament.

Interestingly, the two teams sit close to each other in the ICC ODI team rankings. While hosts Nepal are ranked world No. 19, the visitors sit three spots higher in the 16th position.

Overall, the two sides have faced each other on six occasions in the 50-over format of the game. While UAE have won four of the encounters, Nepal have emerged victorious twice.

UAE and Nepal met in a solitary bilateral series in 2019, where the former hosted three T20Is and as many ODIs. Nepal won both series by a similar 2-1 margins.

The Bangladesh cricket team will square off against hosts United Arab Emirates (UAE) in a two-match T20 series starting on Sunday, September 25.

The Bangladesh tour of UAE 2022 will help both sides prepare themselves for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh will miss the services of their regular captain Shakib Al Hasan due to his participation in the ongoing Caribbean Premier League (CPL) for Guyana Amazon Warriors. In Shakib’s absence, wicket-keeper batter Nurul Hasan will lead the side. Nurul Hasan also returns to the 17-man T20 squad after recovering from a finger injury which ruled him out of the recently-concluded Zimbabwe series as well as the Asia Cup held in UAE.

The visitors have also included three of the four reserve players who are added to Bangladesh’s T20 World Cup squad as standbys.

Swashbuckling opening batter Soumya Sarkar has also been recalled after last playing a T20I for Bangladesh in November 2021. Furthermore, leg-spinner Rishad Hossain has been added to Bangladesh’s senior team for the first time. Left-arm fast bowler Shoriful Islam has also been added to the squad.

On the other hand, the Chundangapoyil Rizwan-led UAE cricket team has also announced their 18-member squad for the forthcoming series. Wicket-keeper batter Vriitya Aravind will be deputy to Chundangapoyil Rizwan.

UAE have dropped former captain Rohan Mustafa for the Bangladesh series as well as the 2022 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. Interestingly, Rohan Mustafa is their most capped player across formats.

The two T20Is of the Bangladesh tour of UAE 2022 will be played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
